On September 29, Lewis & Clark hosted a dessert and champagne reception in honor of Shelby and Gale Davis, benefactors of the Davis United World College Scholars Program. The college awarded Shelby Davis an honorary doctorate at the event.

Every year, nearly 2,000 graduates from the UWC international network of schools receive scholarships to attend select U.S. colleges. For the 2010–11 academic year, Lewis & Clark is home to 37 Davis UWC Scholars, representing 27 countries.
