Beloof Receives Crime Victim Service Award

On April 8, the Office for Victims of Crime, a division of the U.S. Department of Justice, honored Associate Professor of Law Doug Beloof with the 2005 President’s Award for Service to Victims of Crime.

On April 8, the Office for Victims of Crime, a division of the U.S. Department of Justice, honored Associate Professor of Law Doug Beloof with the 2005 President’s Award for Service to Victims of Crime. Beloof is executive director of the National Crime Victim Law Institute, a nonprofit research and educational organization established at Lewis & Clark Law School in 2000. The institute is the only national organization working to assert victims’ rights in criminal trial courts. Beloof also supervises the Crime Victim Litigation Clinic, where students work on appellate litigation by providing technical support in the form of legal research and writing to victim organizations and lawyers.
