Celebrating Pioneer Spirit
Photos by Brian Foulkes
Nearly 1,300 people traveled from near and far to be at Lewis & Clark’s Homecoming and Family Weekend in October.
Attendees celebrated the grand opening of our new Career Center, cheered on the football and women’s soccer teams, and dined on clam chowder at the annual Tailgate Extravaganza. More than 100 former Pioneers returned to celebrate 70 years of L&C football; Catherine Gunther Kodat, our new dean of the undergraduate college, hosted a coffee with Anna Gonzalez, dean of students; and we celebrated Professor Emeritus John Callahan’s nearly 50 years of teaching, advising, and mentoring on Palatine Hill.
Throughout the weekend, members of the Student Alumni Association greeted guests and served as friendly guides.
