Trustee and Spouse Urge Giving at All Levels
Extending Support for Students

Building on their long record of support for Lewis & Clark students, Trustee Heidi Hu BS ’85 and her husband, Dan Hsieh, have increased their funding of scholarships and endowed a fund for undergraduate internships.
Making the case, Hu says, “Dan and I are both products of a liberal arts education and had wonderful experiences. At Lewis & Clark, I learned how to write and think independently and critically. I believe that a good liberal arts education is the best preparation there is for any field, no matter how quantitative or professional it may be. I would hate for deserving students to miss out: Everyone loses when a talented student foregoes a liberal arts education and opportunities for career preparation. We encourage others to join us at all levels of giving.”
