Assistant Professor of Art Ted Vogel’s work is currently on display at the University of Puget Sound’s Kittredge Gallery. A review in Tacoma Weekly calls Vogel’s mixed-media exhibition “thought-provoking.”

The exhibition, titled “Shadow,” features an installation of the same name, as well as six pieces from Vogel’s “Altar” series. The title piece is made up of rose petals spread on the floor in the shape of the outline of an airplane; it was inspired in part by visions of war planes and nuclear bombings in WWII. The exhibition will be on display until February 20, 2010.

Vogel is program head in ceramics and current chair of the art department at Lewis & Clark College. He is also co-founder of accessCeramics, a contemporary ceramics image datatbase for artists and educators worldwide.
