Susanna Anand BA ’26 became only the second player in women’s tennis program history to win Northwest Conference Rookie of the Year honors this past spring. Anand and Rachael Rice BA ’22 are the only two Pioneers to have accomplished this feat.

Anand stepped into Rice’s former role as the No. 1 player in the Pioneers lineup, as she played at No. 1 singles throughout her first season. Anand went 8-7 in singles, and she added seven doubles wins. After a one-year hiatus, women’s tennis returned to the NWC Tournament, winning three of their final four conference matches to secure the final spot in the four-team field
