Overview: The 3-Minute Mental Makeover (3MMM) is a quick writing exercise designed to reduce stress and improve communication and connection with others. It was created by David Thoele, MD, Pediatric Cardiologist, and Co-Director, Narrative Medicine at Advocate Children’s Hospital / Advocate Aurora Health (for a description of 3MMM and Dr. Thoele’s research documenting its effects, see this short video).
All are welcome. In particular we invite:
LC students in peer:peer support roles (e.g., NSO leaders, RAs, the Office of Spiritual Life, Palatine Support Network, MVP Athletics Program, Pre-Health Professions Club, students who are part of Peer Leadership Programming).
LC Faculty looking to build community and resilience in their classrooms
Anyone in the LC community interested in narrative medicine practices
