Brett Elliott was named the 12th head coach of Lewis & Clark football at the end of January. Elliott replaces Joe Bushman, who led the program to 14 wins in his three seasons at the helm.

Elliott comes to Lewis & Clark from NCAA DIII powerhouse Linfield University. He played quarterback for the Wildcats in the early 2000s and led Linfield to the 2004 national championship. He was named the National Player of the Year in NCAA DIII in 2005.

After graduating, Elliott played professionally for several years before starting his coaching career in 2008. He spent time coaching at NCAA DI schools Mississippi State, James Madison and Texas State, and served two stints at Linfield. In his most recent role, Elliott served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Wildcats and led the team to the NCAA tournament in four of his five seasons. Linfield led the nation in passing offense and red-zone offense in 2024.
