Elbow Room Residency
Open to the public on Mondays from 10-3.

Elbow Room is a community art studio and gallery in SE Portland focused on providing material support, mentorship, and meaningful exhibition and collaboration opportunities for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In our work, we center the individual interests, needs, and goals of the artists we support, and maintain an inclusive space for artists to develop a practice and participate in a shared creative community.
For three months in the Fall, Elbow Room will utilize the back space of the Hoffman Gallery as a satellite studio and a site to develop Dialtones, a collaborative audio project featuring contributions from a wide range of Elbow Room artists.
Visitors to the space can engage with the project via a “payphone” installed in the front gallery, where they can call in and listen to audio dispatches from our work.
Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art is located in Hoffman Gallery on the Undergraduate Campus.
