Lewis & Clark men’s swimmer Ezra Billings BA ’26 was named the Sport Oregon Small College Collegiate Athlete of the Year on September 30. The reigning Northwest Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Year is one of 10 athletes and coaches who will be honored at the Oregon Sports Awards on November 6. He is just the third confirmed L&C student-athlete to earn a major state award.
Billings was recognized after winning three individual events and one relay at the 2025 Northwest Conference Championship Meet. Billings won the 50-yard free, the 100 free, and the 100 butterfly. He teamed up with Micah Rysavy BA ’25, Zach Martin BA ’26, and Sam LoCurto BA ’28 to win the 400-free relay. At the conclusion of the meet, he became the first men’s swimmer in program history to be named the NWC Swimmer of the Meet.
