New Albany Society Leadership

This summer marked changes to the board leadership of the Albany Society, with the election of David Avison BA ’68, MPA ’80 as chair and Jan Pearce BA ’74 as vice chair. Founded in 1999, the Albany Society is an honorary organization of all L&C alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. The society encourages senior alumni to enrich their lives by reconnecting with classmates and the college.

The Albany Society publishes The Gatehouse e-newsletter. They also have some great events coming up, including virtual lectures open to the entire community. Watch for the L&C alumni events calendar in your email inbox!

During Alumni Weekend, nearly 40 members from the Class of 1975 were inducted into the Albany Society by President Robin Holmes-Sullivan at the Golden Medallion Luncheon. This special event symbolically recreates the commencement ceremony of 50 years ago and serves as the class’s official welcome into the Albany Society.
