Since 2021, the Posse Scholars Program has helped build a vibrant community of student leaders at Lewis & Clark. Now, a new endowed fund will help sustain and enrich that experience for years to come.

The Posse Scholars Program is built on the idea that a small, diverse group of talented students—a “posse”—can support one another and thrive together on campus. Carefully selected and trained before they arrive, Posse Scholars form a close-knit cohort that encourages leadership development, academic success, and community engagement.

At Lewis & Clark, Posse Scholars from Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico bring a wide range of talents, perspectives, and experiences to the community. Their presence strengthens the college in countless ways, while the program’s emphasis on access, belonging, and leadership helps students build connections that last well beyond their college years.

Established through the generosity of anonymous donors, the Posse Program Enrichment Endowment provides ongoing support for key elements of the Posse experience, including faculty mentoring, the annual PossePlus Retreat, travel, and other program costs.

This endowed fund will help Posse Scholars make the most of their Lewis & Clark experience—and help support future generations of Lewis & Clark students.
