Elie Al Khoury BA ’26 is a student researcher in Assistant Professor of Chemistry JP Gourdine’s urobiome lab. Working with frozen urine samples, he’s studying how “good” bacteria survive the harsh environment of the urinary tract. The NSF-funded research could help spark new treatments for urinary diseases worldwide.
