My name is Tanya and I am from Zimbabwe. I recently graduated from UWCSEA Dover. I had always wondered how the experience of learning with people from different cultures would shape my international identity. Attending UWC was the opportunity which allowed me to meet a rich diversity of students. Living and learning from different perspectives was my unforgettable highlight in which I have fond memories of the time I had.
In my college search, I was looking for a similar environment that was able to help me grow my international identity and the diversity of perspectives and Lewis & Clark stood out to me. I think I will major in Computer Science and Mathematics, this being driven by a fascination with tech and businesses which I would like to explore my career in. I am a person who is all around trying out new things and finding new passions. I enjoy participating in sports, particularly basketball, and I also find art and music interesting and I tend to draw or listen to music occasionally. I am quite excited to meet everyone and get to learn about their unique stories. My academic interests are mostly STEM related, with math and physics leading the list.
I have been to a few countries thanks to the experiences that I had at UWC. I have been to Indonesia, this was mostly for holiday trips and outdoor projects which we did in IB. I also got to visit Thailand, Malaysia and Timor Leste for similar reasons and for sports trips.
