My experience at UWC marked a huge turning point in my life. What I will take with me most are the friendships I made. Seeing how each person had such different perspectives on life opened my mind in an incredible way. Watching my friends grow, seeing how each one was building their own path, was a unique feeling. Living with such different people, with different languages and cultures, was a beautiful challenge that transformed me deeply.

When looking for a university, the first thing I knew for sure was that art had to have as important a place as it does in my life. Lewis & Clark shares that vision. Valuing passion, expression, and creativity is fundamental to me, and finding a university that understands that was key. The location also greatly influenced my decision: Portland seems like a fascinating place to live, create, and explore, and that excites me a lot.

Although I’m not completely sure about my major yet, I’m very interested in anthropology, and I would definitely like to combine it with fine arts as a second major or minor.

Outside of academics, I love playing basketball, acting, and playing the violin and guitar. I also enjoy exploring, climbing mountains, and spending time outdoors. Traveling with friends is one of my greatest passions.

I always find an excuse to organize a trip. At UWC, I traveled with my friends to different parts of Tanzania, from rural landscapes to magical places like Zanzibar. I have also been lucky enough to travel to countries such as Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ethiopia, Argentina, and Spain to visit my friends or simply to explore. Each trip has been a transformative experience and an essential part of my growth.
