Associate Vice President of Student Health and Well-Being; Health CenterDirector
Robin has been at Lewis & Clark College since 2019, and joined the Student Health staff as Director in the summer of 2024. She is a psychologist and has worked in College mental health for more than two decades at large public and small private institutions. Robin has always worked very closely with Student Health staff to coordinate care and support for college students. Robin is now overseeing both Student Health and Student Counseling as Director, and supporting the Director of Health Promotion and Wellness at Lewis & Clark - which provides a great opportunity for all three offices to provide coordinated and collaborative comprehensive wellness services to all LC students. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, reading, live music, and spending time with friends and family.
Jess Kingsbury, MN, FNP-C (she/her)
Medical Lead and Nurse Practitioner
Jess has been with the Lewis & Clark College team since 2021. She began practicing as an NP at a small family medicine clinic down in Dallas, Oregon. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a cardiac nurse at a large academic hospital down in Nashville, TN. Now, Jess has found her happy place working with college students. She aims to provide a safe, welcoming environment where all students feel supported and well cared for. Jess enjoys patient education and taking the time to explain the “why” for any recommendations she makes. Outside of work, she enjoys practicing yoga, going on drizzly hikes, and road tripping with her daughter and husband.
Aeden Cakebread (they/them)
Medical Receptionist / Office Assistant
Aeden has been a medical office administrator for about three years. They enjoy interacting with patients and compiling the best spreadsheets this town has ever seen. When they’re not at Lewis & Clark, they attend Point of View Tattoo School to pursue their dream of becoming a full time tattoo artist. They specialize in neotraditional styles, but are interested in expanding into American traditional, lettering, woodblock, and illustrative styles. They joined the SHC in 2025.
Mackinlie Maynard, BSN (she/her)
Registered Nurse
Mackinlie joined Lewis & Clark in 2024. She enjoys supporting college students as they learn to navigate the healthcare system and loves the welcoming campus community, especially the greenery, moss, and even the slugs. Before coming to Lewis & Clark, she worked with chemotherapy patients. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, making ceramics, and tending to her collection of houseplants.
Kathleen Walker, FNP-C (she/her)
Nurse Practitioner
Kathleen joined Lewis & Clark College in 2023 after three years as a primary care provider at a community clinic in Portland. She strives to meet patients where they are and provide individualized, patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include gender-affirming care, harm reduction, and sexual and reproductive health. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her two young daughters and getting outdoors - rain or shine!
Cara Barone, MD (she/her)
Physician
Cara has over 25 years in pediatric medicine where she has provided primary and urgent care to newborns through college age patients. She was drawn to college health as she especially enjoys caring for teens and young adults. In addition to providing medical care she truly enjoys helping students learn how to advocate and care for themselves in their healthcare and overall wellness. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her young adult children and family, walking her dogs, traveling and always learning new things. She was delighted to join the SHC in 2025 as a part-time physician.
