After the visit
The evaluation team will deliver a very brief review of their findings to the President and the Executive Council at the conclusion of their visit. The process then continues with the following activities, which will take several months to complete:
- Draft Report: About two weeks after the visit the team chair sends a draft report to the President and the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for a review of factual accuracy.
- Final Report and Institutional Response: About eight weeks after the visit, NWCCU sends the final team report to the President, who is invited to submit a formal written response.
- Commission Meeting: The NWCCU Board of Commissioners meets in January to review our self-evaluation, the team’s report, and our institutional response. They then determine our accreditation status and finalize any recommendations.
- Official Letter of Action: Within 30 days of the Commission meeting, the college receives an official letter detailing the Commission’s decisions and any required next steps.
Then, the process starts all over again when we submit the “Year One” report to update the commission on our progress (Fall 2026). This is followed up with a Mid-Cycle review (Fall 2028), the Year Six Review of Policies (Fall 2031) and another Year-Seven report and site visit in Fall 2032).
