January 2024

Board Meeting #1: Tuesday, January 23rd, 8-9pm

This meeting served as an opportunity for Board members to reconvene after a snowy break, plan for the upcoming Ramen Reunion event, and go over Symposium details.

February 2024

Ramen Reunion: Saturday, February 3rd, 5-7pm

We started off the new semester with some delicious ramen and socialization with TCKs and friends! Happening in the Stewart Hall main lounge, we provided free food and friendly faces for anyone interested in engaging with the TCK club.

Board Meeting #2:  Sunday, February 4th, 5-5:30pm

The board de-briefed our Ramen Reunion and went over the recent Student Engagement meeting. We also discussed the Symposium timeline and panel prompts.

Board Meeting #3: Sunday, February 11th, 3-3:30pm

We met for the final time before our Symposium! We finalized event logistics, worked out board roles (greeters, publicity, and photographers), and got ready to see our hard work pay off.

12TH ANNUAL TCK SYMPOSIUM:

Thursday, February 15th, 3-6pm

This annual event featured keynote speaker Chris O’Shaughnessy and a panel of Lewis and Clark students and faculty with TCK experience! We included TCKs and anyone looking to learn about the experience to come listen to our speakers, enjoy some food, and interact with a multi-national group of people.

Afterward, the board hosted a fun sushi/poke dinner in Fowler 244 with faculty, Chris O’Shaughnessy, and family.

TCK Listening Party: Wednesday, February 21st, 6-7 pm

We made a playlist of all the nostalgic bangers that remind us of the places we’re connected to! This was a cozy, social event in the TCK room in Fowler, complete with salty snacks and sweet tea!

March 2024

Board Meeting #4: Sunday, March 3rd, 6:30-7 pm

We met to de-brief on our recent Symposium and Listening Party events, discuss our plans for the rest of this semester and future years, and finalize details for our Art Museum Excursion.

TCK/Art Week - Art Museum Excursion: Sunday, March 10th, 12:15-3 pm

TCK Club collaborated with Art Club to bring students the Art Museum Excursion! We traveled to the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art to experience its Policing Justice display. This off campus event was a great chance to discuss and engage with an impactful exhibit, meet friends, and eat a free food cart lunch!

Board Meeting #5: Friday, March 15th, 1:00-1:30 pm

Meeting to discuss past and future collaborative events, plan for the upcoming Senior Recognition Night, and go over future leadership.

ISLC/TCK Trivia Night: Wednesday, March 20th, 8 pm in Council Chambers

Knowledge meets competition at this collaborative international trivia night! Teams of 4 or less will compete against each other, leaving the top 3 to win some awesome prizes!

April 2024

Board Meeting #6: Monday, April 8th, 1:00-1:30 pm

We met to go over plans for the final month of school!

ISS Senior Recognition Night: Tuesday, April 16th, 5:30 pm in Smith Hall

This annual event celebrates the hard work of our graduating International and TCK students, sharing toasts, memories, well-wishes, and advice over a catered meal.

Board Meeting #7: Tuesday, April 16th, 8:00 pm in the TCK Room

Our last official meeting went over our final events and leadership trajectory.

TCKs & Baseball: Saturday, April 20th, 12:00 pm at the Jerry Gatto Field

We supported fellow TCK and International Baseball Players at this Pio event. This was a great opportunity to enjoy snacks, learn about the game, and have fun!

End of Year Care Packages: Wednesday, April 24th, 5-6 pm in Fowler 244

Come de-stress before finals and move-out by picking up some FREE GOODIES for you or your friends! We’ll be giving out:
- Chips, chocolate, & tea
- Fidget toys
- Rings & hair clips
- Lotion & lip balm
- Face masks & pimple patches
- Sticky notes & pencils
Hand outs are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, so stop by at 5 this Wednesday to make your care package!
