Portland is one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the country, and members of the Lewis & Clark community bike to campus year round.
Register your bike:
Registration of your bike is critically important to ensuring your bike is safely and appropriately stored and used here at L&C. Bike registration is easy on the Parking Portal.
- Log into the Parking Portal
- Click on the “Lewis & Clark Single Sign On” button.
- Use your LC credentials to access your account.
- Navigate to the the “My Vehicles” drop-down tab.
- Click “Add a vehicle”.
- Under “Type” select bike.
- For “State” input your home state.
- For “License Plate” input the serial number on your bike.
- For “Make” select the brand of your bike from the drop-down menu.
- For “Style” select bike from the drop-down menu.
- For “Color” select the color from the drop-down menu.

Visit the City of Portland Bureau of Traffic Management’s bicycle resources website to learn about bicycling in Portland and find your route to campus.

Frequently Asked Questions
TriMet allows bikes on buses on all routes. You can find a route to campus combining bikes and transit at rtp.trimet.org. Visit the Bikes on TriMet website for more information about transit bike parking, loading your bike on bus racks, and more.
The Lewis & Clark shuttle allows bikes. Before taking your bike on the shuttle you will need to submit a Statement of Responsibility, available at Campus Safety. Campus Safety will issue a sticker for your ID card allowing you to take your bike on the shuttle. There are four racks on the shuttle and spaces are first-come, first-served. Please be prepared to lock your bike up, take TriMet, or ride all the way if there are not available spaces on the shuttle. Bikes are not allowed to be brought inside the shuttle for safety reasons.
You can match up with fellow bike riders with a similar commute at Drive Less. Connect Input your address and commuting preferences and you will be anonymously matched with other riders with a similar route. If you find a match you like, you can connect with the other rider.
