Food Carts—Multiple locations. Portland is known for its food cart scene, and for good reason. Some student favorite “pods” include Sellwood Corner Food Carts, Hillsdale Food Cart Park, Cartopia, and Asylum.
Dang’s Thai Kitchen— This pleasant Thai restaurant in Lake Oswego is just minutes from campus. We recommend the Khao Soi!
NOLA Doughnuts— Fresh donuts, made-to-order beignets, and a 2-4 p.m. happy hour that gets you those beignets and coffee for only $2? What’s not to love?
Chuckie Pies— This Lake Oswego restaurant features Neapolitan pizza, salads, wine, and beer.
Babica Hen Cafe— Comfort-food breakfast.
Casa del Pollo— Costa Rican comfort food.
Sasquatch Brewing Co. — A cozy spot in Hillsdale for pub eats, beer, cider, and more!
Multnomah Village French Quarter— This small food cart pod and cluster of shops in neighboring Multnomah Village offers a variety of cuisines, boutique shopping, and a seasonal produce stand.
John’s Marketplace— A convenience store with a vast selection of beer and wine, this Multnomah Village spot also serves great burgers and sandwiches at the deli.
Chart House — Upscale dining with views of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams on a clear day.
An Xuyen Bakery— A cafe and bakeshop offering artisanal pastries and delicious Pan-Asian sandwiches.
Bollywood Theater— The Division Street branch of this cult-favorite restaurant offers regional Indian street food featuring local ingredients.

St. John’s Food Cart Pod — Also known as the St. John’s Beer Porch, this pod has ample outdoor seating and food options, all surrounding their signature beer porch.
Fire on the Mountain— One of three locations around PDX. While they are famous for their buffalo wings, this spot also has amazing vegan wings, fried pickles, and more.
Pine Street Market— Portland’s first food hall, Pine Street Market houses 9 of Portland’s most popular restaurants under one roof.
Sizzle Pie— This Pacific Northwest chain of edgy pizza joints boldly declares, “Death to False Pizza!” Plus, it is right across the street from Powell’s Bookstore, the world’s largest independent bookstore.
