Welcome Back From Spring Break

Dear students, staff, and faculty,

Welcome back to campus and to the last weeks of spring semester! I hope you were able to take some time during the break to rest, recharge, and restore in preparation for this final push to the finish line.

The past few weeks have been a particularly challenging time for our community. I am happy to report that the vast majority of our systems disrupted by the recent cyberattack have now been restored. Unfortunately, these attacks have become more frequent in higher education. We are a stronger institution for having gone through it and come out the other side.

The threat to our systems could have thrust the LC community into chaos, the ultimate goal of the criminals responsible. Instead, we came together. This is a testament to our commitment to care for one another. I want to thank everyone who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get us to this point. I also want to express my thanks for the graciousness and ingenuity that everyone has demonstrated in weathering this crisis.

I know you join me in looking forward to the end of the academic year and to commencement at all three schools.
