Dean of Equity and Inclusion Danielle Torres has been elected to serve a three-year term with the Board of Directors for the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS).

HEDS is a not-for-profit organization of colleges and universities committed to sharing data, knowledge, and expertise to advance undergraduate liberal arts education, inclusive excellence, and student success. Lewis & Clark makes extensive use of HEDS surveys in order to gain insights about our students and to benchmark against other similar institutions.

“I’m honored to join the HEDS national board, which has a long history of supporting the work of liberal arts colleges—especially at a time when gathering, preserving, and building coalitions around data is so essential,” Torres said. “I look forward to contributing to this important work alongside such a respected and collaborative group.”

The HEDS board is made up of elected member representatives who work in close collaboration with the HEDS Director and HEDS staff to steer the organization towards a sustainable future as the consortium works to enact its mission.

Torres will begin her term on July 1, 2025.
