Celebrating Staff Excellence: President’s Award Honors 12

The President’s Staff Excellence Award was established by the Board of Trustees last May after President Robin Holmes-Sullivan requested a special fund in the endowment to support this annual recognition of exceptional service by our staff. The first call for nominations yielded 58 submissions.

This year’s award recipients are:

• Rocky Campbell, associate vice president, Student Life
• Jimmy Chau, head men’s and women’s tennis coach/instructor, Physical Education and Athletics
• Murray Cizon, executive assistant to the Dean of the Graduate School
• Karen Fobert, director of financial aid operations, Office of Financial Aid
• Read McFaddin, assistant director, Office of Institutional Research
• Laura Mundt, administrative assistant, Environmental Studies
• Blair Orfall, administrator and program coordinator, World Languages and Literatures
• Gena Perrine, director of finance and operations, Graduate School
• Reggie Raiford, director of facilities, Law School
• Joseph Rosevear, assistant controller, Office of Business and Finance
• Lydia Ruiz-Hom, legal specialist II
• Davo Sargsyan, events A/V coordinator, Facilities Services

“What a joy to get to read about the incredible accomplishments of our amazing staff members, and to see how much you are appreciated by your supervisors, colleagues and fellow community members—I learned a lot!” President Holmes-Sullivan said. “Thank you for all your hard work and for being a model of excellence.”

In addition to being recognized at the employee appreciation picnic, recipients of the award will receive a stipend and an invitation to a celebratory reception at the Cooley House.
