The 2026 Vision & Visionaries honorees include: Kristin Crellin ’95; Robin Holmes-Sullivan ’86, MA ’90; Michael Losquadro ’86; Peter Mitchell; and Gregory Wright ’00, MS ’08.
President Robin Holmes-Sullivan received the 2026 Vision and Visionaries Alumni Award from CSU Fullerton last month at a celebratory banquet in Costa Mesa, California.
“What an honor to be selected. I am humbled. Go Titans!” Holmes-Sullivan said upon hearing the news. “And to my fellow awardees—Kristin, Michal, Peter, and Gregory—congratulations. I am deeply honored to be included among such distinguished company.”
Holmes-Sullivan earned two degrees from CSU Fullerton: a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1986 and a master’s degree in experimental psychology in 1990. During her four undergraduate years as a Titan, she dominated the basketball court as the starting point guard and was a four-year captain.
“Although she was recruited as a shooting guard, she switched positions and started all four years at point guard, a transition that taught her valuable lessons in growth and maturity,” Jenelyn Russo reported in the Orange County Register’s article titled CSUF alum finds taking the nontraditional path often pays off.
“Running point on a team full of veterans in what was then the most competitive conference in the country was both exhilarating and humbling,” Holmes-Sullivan told the award banquet attendees. “If I could break the press against USC—national champions two years in a row—I figured the sky was the limit.”
Since its inception in 1994, the CSUF Vision and Visionaries program has honored the remarkable accomplishments of alumni and friends who have achieved national and international distinction in their fields.
“Thank you for this recognition,” Holmes-Sullivan added. “This place helped shape my vision. It introduced me to visionaries. And it taught me that progress—whether on a court or in a career—is about steady forward motion.”
Out of over 342,000 Cal State Fullerton alumni, only 155 have been honored with a Vision and Visionaries award, representing excellence across diverse fields such as academia, the arts, athletics, business, journalism, humanities, and science.
