Orlick Named Senior Enrollment Analyst
Starting June 8, Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research Renée Orlick will step into a new role as senior enrollment analyst, based remotely in San Antonio, TX.

After announcing she would be stepping down as AVP last month, Renée Orlick was happy to report what she is calling a “plot twist.” In her new role as senior enrollment analyst, she will report jointly to Associate Dean and Director of Admissions Communications Joe Johnson and to Director of Institutional Research Read McFaddin.
“CAS Admissions is in the process of moving its student search strategy (the process of licensing high school student information and marketing to them) completely in-house, instead of being managed by external vendors,” Johnson said. “This transition means considerably more work for our department over the next year, and necessitated the creation of an additional position—funded through savings on vendor spend—to help Admissions manage and analyze the effectiveness of our new outreach strategy. As it turned out, Institutional Research also planned to hire a part-time analyst later this year, so our departments are excited to partner on an efficient solution that meets everyone’s needs, and serves the institution—and allows us to keep Renée!”
“This is a totally win-win situation and I’m so glad to stay connected to this community,” Orlick said.
Orlick brings extensive experience across multiple institutions, including Alfred University, Trinity (Washington) University, Colorado State University, and Lewis & Clark, spanning admissions recruitment, operations, communications, and data analysis.
“Many of you may already know Renée as a thoughtful collaborator, mentor, and strategic partner with a deep commitment to student and institutional success,” Johnson said. “Her unique combination of analytical expertise, collaborative leadership, and in-depth knowledge of Lewis & Clark’s enrollment and student persistence lifecycle will be an incredible asset to both of our departments.”
Orlick will spend most of her time with Admissions helping guide search strategy and partnering closely with leadership on funnel analysis, campaign evaluation, and enrollment reporting. About one third of her time will be spent supporting Institutional Research on analytics and reporting across CAS, Grad, and Law.
