Driving Sustainability Forward: New Electric Fleet Vehicle

Focus Area: Facilities Fleet

Anticipated Completion: 5/31/2026

Big news for campus sustainability! We’re retiring a 30-year-old gasoline pickup and replacing it with a brand-new electric vehicle—a major step toward modernizing our fleet and reducing our carbon footprint.

Why This Upgrade Matters:

Eco-Friendly & Efficient – This EV helps us cut emissions and support our campus-wide sustainability goals.

Reliable & Road-Ready – The new vehicle will provide a dependable mode of transportation for Facilities staff, ensuring smooth operations across campus.

Fleet Modernization – Upgrading to electric means less maintenance, lower fuel costs, and a cleaner future for campus transportation.

By eliminating one gas-powered vehicle and replacing it with an EV, we’re taking another positive step toward a greener campus.
