Danielle Torres Selected as Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Community Dialogues Director
Dean of Equity and Inclusion Danielle Torres will begin her tenure as Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Community Dialogues Director on September 2, 2025. In order to ensure a smooth transition for the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI), she will continue to also serve as Dean until January 2026.
Upon Retirement: Bon Voyage to Steve Johansen
This August, the law school bid a fond “Bon Voyage” to a Lewis & Clark Law School fixture, Steve Johansen JD ’87.
Meoz appointed Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students
Ben Meoz, who has been with the college since 2021 and served as Interim Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students since April, begins his tenure on August 18.

Professor of Psychology Tom Schoeneman is retiring from Lewis & Clark after 43 years.

Native Artist Scholar Events with Dr. Luhui Whitebear
L&C is deeply honored to have Dr. Luhui Whitebear As the 2025-26 Native Artist/Scholar in Residence at Lewis & Clark.
Welcome Andy Saultz, New Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Counseling
Saultz, an alum of the graduate school’s secondary social studies MAT program, brings a wide range of expertise in educational policy, the politics of education, and the intersection of health and education policy.
