Environmental Center

  • By 2028: Launch a center focused on preparing students to make an impact in renewable energy, conservation, environmental policy, and sustainability

Central Portland Hub

  • By 2025: Identify a primary community partner—Albina Vision Trust
  • By 2028: Establish a permanent site

Career Accelerator

  • By 2027: 75 students in paid internships and 100 students in for-credit skills courses
  • By 2028: 150 students in paid internships, 300 students in for-credit skills courses

Lewis & Clark and Albina Vision Trust Launch Historic Partnership

The new collaboration will build a hub for education and economic opportunity within Portland’s redeveloped Lower Albina district to foster learning as a core value of the community and provide opportunities for Albina residents and Lewis & Clark students, staff, and faculty.

Update on the Strategic Plan and Big Ideas Process

Dear Colleagues,

Over the summer, Executive Council and I made great headway on our strategic planning efforts. We will need your thoughtful input to finalize the plan.

On September 5, we will launch the review process with a special event in Council Chamber at 11 a.m. and via Zoom. We’ll be sharing with you a plan that outlines our draft strategic imperatives for the next five years.
