Testing Room Booking in Accommodate
Accommodate “Testing Room Request”
Important: If you do not see “Testing Room” as an option in Accommodate, it means you still need to complete your Semester Request. Once your request is submitted and our office sends it to your professors, the “Testing Room” option will appear.

Lewis & Clark understands that exam schedules may conflict with accommodations. If this happens, please follow the OSA Final Exam Scheduling Policy below to plan your exams.
Important Details:
- Exams must be taken during the final exam period with small adjustments in start/end times if needed.
- OSA does not proctor exams on Reading Days.
- All OSA Proctored exams must by schedule by the Semester Deadline.

Scheduling for Time-and-a-Half Accommodations:
Two Exams in One Day:
- First Exam: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Break: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
- Second Exam: 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Three Exams in One Day:
- Action: Reschedule one exam for a different day by contacting one of your professors.
Evening Exams:
- Option 1: Start your exam at 1:30 PM at OSA.
- Option 2: Start your exam at 4:30 PM with OSA and finish with your class at 6:00 PM.
- Create a Plan: Work with your faculty to create a plan. Submit the OSA exam request form to notify OSA.
Scheduling for Double-Time Accommodations:
Example for a 1:00 PM Class Exam:
- Start at 12:00 PM with OSA proctoring.
Two Exams in One Day:
- Action: Reschedule one exam for a different day by contacting one of your professors.
Evening Exams:
- Option 1: Start at 12:00 PM with OSA.
- Option 2: Start at 3:00 PM with OSA and finish with your class at 6:00 PM.
- Create a Plan: Work with your faculty and submit the OSA exam request form to notify OSA.
DEADLINE: Undergraduate Students: schedule all regular semester and final exam proctoring through ACCOMMODATE by December 4, 2025. See our Handy Guide.

If you have never met with someone in the Office of Student Accessibility (OSA), please do not schedule your Exam “Testing Room Request” through Accommodate. Instead, schedule an appointment.
Exam/Quiz Proctoring Hours
Exam proctoring is available Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If your exam falls outside of these hours, speak with your professor in advance to identify an alternate start time. Faculty approval is required for exams scheduled outside your class’s regularly assigned time.
Submitting Exam Requests

Submit your exam request through Accommodate at least 5–7 days before your scheduled exam.

Late Exam Requests: Exam proctoring requests must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. (noon) at least 48 business hours before the exam (e.g., by Thursday at noon for a Monday exam and by Friday for a Tuesday exam). Requests submitted after the deadline will not be approved, and you will be expected to take the exam with the class without accommodations.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an exam you’ve booked with our office, please email access@lclark.edu at least two hours before your scheduled exam start time.
Take-Home Exams
The Office of Student Accessibility does not proctor take-home exams or any exam that is not monitored by a professor or designated proxy.
If your exam is take-home:

You may wish to use a library study room if you require a quiet and structured testing environment.

What to Include in an Email If You Cannot Physically Use the Accommodate Software Testing Room Form
If you are unable to access the Accommodate request form, please email access@lclark.edu with the following information:

Your preferred start time (if different from class time and approved by your instructor)

Note: Exam reservations are not processed on weekends.
By scheduling an exam in Accommodate with the Office of Student Accessibility proctoring “I have read the below statements and agree to abide by these policies and procedures.”
Scheduling and Confirmation
- I understand exam and quiz reservations should be made 5–7 business days in advance. Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
- I understand the final deadline to schedule an exam or quiz is by noon two business days before an exam (Monday exam reservations need to be made by noon on Thursday). I understand this deadline is different for final exams.
- I agree to take the exam with the class, without my exam accommodations if I miss the scheduling deadline.
- If my testing room booking does not show up as approved in Accommodate within 48 hours of my exam start time, I will contact the OSA office by email to access@lclark.edu to confirm my reservations.
Time Management and Attendance
- I acknowledge that all exams scheduled in OSA start on time. If I arrive late, I am responsible for turning in my exam at the scheduled end time.
- I am responsible for my own time management during exams taken in OSA. When my time is up, I am responsible for turning in my exam test and any related materials to OSA immediately.
Responsibility and Academic Integrity
- I agree that receiving accommodations in an academic class does not lessen my responsibility for meeting all the requirements of my courses.
- I agree that I am bound by the Lewis & Clark College Student Code of Conduct, and agree to respect the integrity of my exam and the Office of Student Accessibility by adhering to these policies.
- Cell phones and electronics (use of AI) is not allowed unless specifically approved by the professor.
