The Investments Committee has unanimously approved amendments to the Investment Policy Statement and the amended policy has been approved by the full Board.

The first annual President’s Staff Excellence Awards honored 12 staff members from across the institution at the L&C Employee Appreciation Picnic.

The Board of Trustees met May 8–9 for its annual spring meeting. The Board of Trustees received the Strategic Imperatives Advisory Council report, approved budget and emeriti appointments, and elected new Trustees. 

Lewis & Clark is excited to announce the launch of the annual President’s Staff Excellence Awards, dedicated to recognizing and rewarding the exceptional performance and significant contributions of our staff members. L&C employees are invited to submit nominations through May 1, 2025.

This transformational approach to career readiness will integrate career competencies and work-ready skills into every undergraduate’s academic journey; a commitment from Heidi Hu BS ’85 and Daniel Hsieh establishes an endowment to support it.

The search for a new dean of the Graduate School of Education and Counseling has begun, with the goal of having a new dean in place by the end of this semester.

Lewis & Clark has embarked on a project to reimagine the Lower Estate Gardens, located east of the historic Manor House. This initiative, grounded in community input and historical research, aims to honor the site’s heritage while prioritizing sustainability, accessibility, and modern use.

Faculty from across the institution were honored this month at the first Presidential Faculty Excellence Award ceremony.

The Board of Trustees held their annual October meeting on campus on October 17-18.

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations Andrea Dooley welcomes new employees and provides an update on capital projects, sustainability, and IT initiatives.

The Board of Trustees met on May 2 and 3 for their regular spring meeting.

During the May meeting of the Board of Trustees, the Board passed a resolution to establish the President’s Faculty Excellence Fund and the President’s Staff Excellence Fund. These funds will support annual awards to faculty and staff members.

The Board met February 15–16 for their regular winter meeting.

The Board of Trustees met on campus October 19–20. It was the Board’s first meeting with Paula Hayes BS ’92 as board chair, and also the first meeting with new trustee Bob Rowe BA ’77.
