The One L&C Steering Committee held their annual mini-retreat to prepare monthly events for the 2025-26 school year. All L&C employees are invited to come to as many events as you can!

Lewis & Clark is excited to announce the launch of the annual President’s Staff Excellence Awards, dedicated to recognizing and rewarding the exceptional performance and significant contributions of our staff members. L&C employees are invited to submit nominations through May 1, 2025.

Every spring, Lewis & Clark alumni return to campus to offer advice on careers, internships, and degree applicable endeavors. 

With sponsorship from the Chamberlin Social Justice Endowment, the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) and the Center for Spiritual Life, scholars Hussein Ibish and David Schraub bring their expertise to Lewis & Clark on December 3, 2024.

We are busy preparing the Halloween costume contest ballot and will post it to the Source and the Bark when it’s ready! All votes must be submitted by midnight on Sunday, November 3. Winners will be announced on Monday, November 4.

As of this semester, Lewis & Clark’s online events calendar now includes several new features, making it easier to find events that encourage and facilitate community engagement. 

Splendid Cycles, a beloved Portland bike store, is offering L&C staff and faculty 10 percent off the purchase of an E-bike.

Last month, exempt staff selected nine representatives to the inaugural Staff Council. The number of open positions for each school was based on the proportional number of eligible staff: three representatives for CAS, two for Law, one for GSEC, and three for Common Services.
