Staff and faculty are invited to enroll in the Fostering a Culture of Belonging microcredential, a free professional development course offered through our L&C’s partnership with the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

About the Course

Fostering a Culture of Belonging equips participants with actionable strategies to build inclusive environments across every campus role—from advising and admissions to faculty, residence life, and leadership. Participants will:

Explore belonging as a key factor in student and employee retention and success.
Engage in modules on managing bias, addressing imposter phenomenon, reducing microaggressions, and cultivating inclusive environments.
Apply practices in real time with support from an ACUE-certified facilitator.
Earn a nationally recognized micro-credential endorsed by the American Council on Education.

The course runs 8 weeks, is asynchronous but structured, and requires about 2–3 hours weekly.
