Andrew Saultz selected as Dean of the Graduate School
Dear L&C community,
I am delighted to share that, after an extensive national search, Andrew Saultz has been selected as the next dean of Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling, and a member of the Executive Council.
Saultz, who is currently serving as interim dean at Pacific University’s College of Education, was overwhelmingly preferred by the community as the candidate with the skills, talents, and vision to lead the graduate school into the future and build on the great accomplishments across all of our graduate programs. I am also confident he will make important contributions in his role on my leadership team. Read more about Andy here.
Saultz succeeds Scott Fletcher who will be stepping down from the deanship this summer. I am grateful for the impact Scott’s leadership has had over his 17-year tenure, a time of tremendous growth at the graduate school.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the process, who met with the final candidates, attended their leadership talks and provided invaluable feedback. I want to give a special nod to Murray Cizon BA ’98, Executive Assistant, GSEC Dean’s Office and Lyndi Hewitt of Summit Search who were essential to the process.
Finally, I am especially grateful for the hard work and dedication of the search committee members:
